Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the My Home Notes mobile app (the "App" or "Service"), provided by My Home Notes ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

My Home Notes lets people who share a home keep a shared list of things the household needs, and mark items as purchased. Some features — described on our Family Plus page — require a paid subscription.

2. Your account

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (like your display name and email) and for keeping your account credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.

3. Household data is shared by design

Items you add to a household's list are visible to every member of that household. Don't add anything to a shared list that you wouldn't want other members of that household to see.

4. Subscriptions, free trial, and auto-renewal

Family Plus is offered at $4.99/month or $49.99/year, with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and automatically renew at the end of each period unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your App Store account settings — we don't process cancellations directly in the app.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for anything illegal, or in a way that violates others' rights.
• Try to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its backend services.
• Use the App to harass or harm another member of your household or anyone else.

6. Service availability

We do our best to keep My Home Notes available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, change, or discontinue features over time, including during active development of the App.

7. Intellectual property

The My Home Notes name, logo, and app are our property. The content you add to your household's list (item names, categories, and similar entries) remains yours — by adding it, you give us permission to store and display it to your household in order to run the Service.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that violate these Terms. You can request deletion of your account as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Home Notes is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App — including, for example, forgetting to buy something that wasn't on the list.

10. Governing law

This section will specify the governing jurisdiction once the legal entity operating My Home Notes is finalized. This is a placeholder pending legal review.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these Terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
